We are looking forward to getting some coverings on this week after making good progress on the stripping of these pitched elevations over the last couple of weeks.
It was decided that the close boarding was to be removed to allow the cavities to be insulated.
Occasionally the advice is to sometimes leave the close boarding in place as they can contribute to the roof’s structural integrity.
Leaving them in place however would have also meant that we had to counter battern the roof. This can potentially throw up issues further down the line when weathering around certain details and if unforeseen, mean extra costs.
Foreseeing potential issues and highlighting them early to allow them to be discussed through, is essential in the success of any project.
Looking forward to posting the completed works very soon.
