Solar needs to be respected as its own specialist trade. Not just something that a roofer can do ‘whilst you’re up there’.

This approach allows us to work in collaboration with experts, as we already do with scaffolding and/or air conditioning for example.

However, in the same way we need them, they need us too!

Issues that we needed to deal with from start to finish at this this one;

1. Existing asbestos slates identified and disposed of safely
2. Fire break installed along party wall beneath bonding gutter
3. Extended lead soakers behind the new build facade on one side
4. Vented lead apron at the junction with crown flat roof as well as a continuous eaves vent
5. Existing flat roof not initially within our scope but was found to be a cold roof without ventilation
6. Advising on locations and fitting of Velux, boiler flu and sun tunnels
