Commercial

Repair to Commercial Block

Project Details

Tiles had been falling from a commercial block into a busy high street below.

We were asked to arrange a license and erect scaffolding as soon as possible to try to avoid any injury to pedestrians.

The entire top course of tiles had been bedded on with mortar rather than mechanically fixed.

We produced a schedule of works that would help extend the roofs lifespan whilst also making full use of the significant scaffold that was now in place.

The schedule of works included;

1. Replace entire ridge and top course with a dry mechanically fixed system.
2. Overlay dormer tops with reinforced liquid to extend lifespan (20 year warranty).
3. Electronically test main roof and highlight weak points.
4. Run safety guard rails for safer maintenance of plant.
5. Replace eave carrier and over clad timber fascia with UPVC – Test all rainwater goods.
